Living By Christ For His Expression, R.O.O.

I attended a denomination for many years. At one point in time, I couldn't find or feel the presence of God in a real way.

By the grace of God, the gospel of Jesus Christ was presented to me in 1976. I confessed my sins to God through Jesus Christ, and He came into my heart. I felt as if a heavy load was taken off of me. I could sense the joy of a new birth in me, (the birth of Christ) (John3:6, 16).

I went to many denominations to hear about this One who lives in me, but I couldn't find one that spoke of Him so clearly. I was taught church doctrine, which I endeavored to keep, but my heart was far from God. I didn't know how to walk and talk with Christ continually in my spirit. I was just waiting to go to heaven one day, and I wasn't even sure of that.

My first contact with the local church was in Lagos, Nigeria and then in Denton, Texas. They didn't tell me what to do or what not to do. They simply fed me Christ. The more I heard about Him, the more I desired Him. Then I learned to come to Jesus Christ in my spirit. In our spirit, Christ is revealed as everything, both to God and to man. Jesus Christ is the all-inclusive One.

This is not something that I merely learned, it was something that I experienced. I heard about living Christ through reading the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee, brothers who are led by the spirit and the revelation of Jesus Christ and also bear a true testimony of Jesus Christ. My spirit bears witness with their spirit. My poverty in living Christ was exposed when I read their books. These helped me learn to eat, drink and live by Christ for His expression (John 6:57).
